Future Dates

Gardening Day
We have a gardening day on the 2nd May 2012 at our childcare setting in Ipswich. We would like as many mums, dads, aunties, uncles, friends of the family here as possible to help us. Refreshments will be provided throughout the day…even if you can only help for half an hour, we would really appreciate your time and support.

We have several other events happening throughout the term, including the following;
·         Parents stay for lunch day
·         Healthy fun day
·         Our annual summer fete
·         Stay and play sessions
(Dates to be confirmed)

Help required

As we are a registered charity, we appreciate any donations or time that you have to give to support us...
·         Do you have any skills that you can offer to help teach our children at Buttons and Bows? E.g. gardening, cooking, sport, reading to children etc
·         Do you have any spare time that you could volunteer to help look after our environment?
·         Do you have a wide knowledge of a certain subject that you would like to support the staff in running? E.g. cultures, areas of the world, animals, art etc
If you have any of the above or any donations and you are interested in further supporting and helping our nursery in Ipswich speak to your childs key person or Nikki/ Steph in the office.

Want to offer your input?
PGI meetings are very welcoming and relaxed. Staff and parents meet to discuss your ideas and views on the nursery and together we make decisions on how we can progress and take the nursery forward. They are led by two members of staff and they offer free child care and tea/coffee so that you can be available to attend. If you are interested in joining us please speak to a member of staff. As we would really value your opinions, feedback and future ideas.

Haven Fitness

As you know, we at Buttons and Bows Nursery are always looking for ways to improve our equipment and resources of the kids. Haven Fitness offer free equipment but we need the support to get it. Please visit http://www.havenfunfitness.co.uk/ and support us. It will only take 5 minutes so please please please spare us that 5 mins to help us and the kids.

Thank you!

Healthy choices allotment day!

As part of the healthy choices programme at wigwams nursery and buttons and bows nursery, we attended a day at the the allotment to encourage families to plant and grow veggies, get physical digging and planting and enjoy some outdoor space! We pride ourselves on being an outstanding childcare provider in ipswich which is why we continue to offer such activities and choices to the children and families at our nursery.

Greener Nurseries

With many changes and improvements to our carbon footprint, Buttons and Bows childcare providers and Wigwams Nursery childcare provider have just found out we are officially one of Suffolks 100 greenest businesses (recognised by Archant)! Well done everyone for applying the changes and being successful. Changes have included energy saving lightbulbs, reducing paper and reusing it, replacing paper towels with hand towels, sourcing local produce to reduce air miles...the list goes on!
