We had our first Parents Advisory Group meeting this week and those who came along had loads of really good ideas of how to make the nursery better for the children and parents to use. They included new names for the rooms, opportunities for raising funds, solutions to the frustrations of the door bell, plus social events. The minutes from the meeting are now on the display in the foyer area to read and another meeting has been planned for 2nd March - all welcome!
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to say what a great trip some of our preschool children went on yesterday and they All really enjoyed it.It was the start of Anne's (our EYP) Beautiful Ipswich project. We started off at the waterfront after being dropped off by the coach, looking at the boats,buildings,boy's and anything else that caught the children's eye. We then went to Dance East for an hour's dance session, which the children very much enjoyed. We tried out some African and Spanish dancing, which we all very enjoyed. We had our packed lunch at Dance East and then walked through the town looking at builders as we went.
ReplyDeleteNext was meeting the Mayor and looking around the Town Hall and her Chambers. It was all very exciting for them. From there we walked through the town and then on to our awaiting coach.
It's now a starting point for Anne to see where this will take the children, through what they were interested in.

Buttons and Bows Nursery Photos
We are having a dressing up week from the 28th Feb-4th March for world book day. All staff and children are welcomed to dress up as their favourite book or nursery rhyme character either one day of the week or all week, payment of £1 paid to the Nursery to support the purchasing of resources for the setting.
